Hi all - February was a busy month in Rotary - but, when is it NOT busy? As part of my club visit strategy this year, I decided to visit Interact and Rotaract Clubs too! Last week, I visited the Waxahachie High School Interact Club as well as the Global High School Interact Club! Those clubs do so many great projects!

March is a time to recognize and celebrate the strength, leadership, and impact of women around the world. This year, we’re inviting Rotarian women across our District (and beyond!) to join us in a month-long celebration highlighting the incredible women who serve and lead in Rotary.
Rather than limiting the celebration to March 8, we are turning International Women’s Day into a movement that lasts the entire month.
Rotary Club of Dallas proudly hosted the 17th annual Safer Dallas Better Dallas Public Safety Awards luncheon, honoring a dedicated public safety leader and the brave men and women of Dallas Police Department (DPD) and Dallas Fire-Rescue (DFR).
McKinney Sunrise Rotary sponsored a Rise Against Hunger meal packaging event on 2/21/26, packing over 10,000 shelf-stable meals with help from 70 volunteers. Students from McKinney North H.S. Interact, McKinney Boyd H.S. Interact, Collin College McKinney Rotaract, plus other Collin College student groups worked together to complete the task in under two hours. The meals packed during this event will provide nutrition to families in either the Philippines or Vietnam.
Melissa Rotary Club was honored to receive the Melissa Chamber of Commerce Volunteer of the Year Award, recognizing the club’s ongoing commitment to service and community impact. The award was presented at our February 5 business meeting, celebrating the collective efforts of Rotary members who consistently live out the motto Service Above Self.

Following a long-standing tradition, on the third Monday of every month volunteers from Park Cities Rotary make and serve dinner to the families staying at Ronald McDonald House.
A small but mighty crew hit the street in February for another Adopt-a-Street project. Grand Prairie Metro Rotarians were able to remove 25 bags of trash and an assortment of road debris from the club's adopted stretch of road.

The Rotary Club of Royse City is proud to support the upcoming Cops and Bobbers Kid Fishing Derby with a $500 donation to help make this special community event possible. The event will take place on April 18th at the pond next to the Royse City Police Station, bringing together local families, law enforcement, and young anglers for a day of fun, fellowship, and friendly competition.
Cub Scouts of Plano Pack 221 which is charted by the North Texas Pioneers Rotary just had their Pinewood Derby. The derby consists of small wooden cars made by the Cub Scouts and their families.
