Holiday Season! We all have so much to be thankful for, and a season of love and giving. Since Service (Giving) is essential to Rotary, I would like to encourage everyone to remember that any funds contributed to the Rotary Foundation help those in need. There are so many in need, and our Foundation helps people locally, nationally and internationally. So, if your circumstances allow, remember the Rotary Foundation in your gifting plans.

Two Rockwall Rotarians saw a need and jumped into action to fill it. In the weeks before Thanksgiving, Nancy Parkes and Robin Chouteau noticed that the local food bank, Rockwall Helping Hands, was calling for assistance in restocking their empty shelves.

At today's Club Assembly, on a unanimous vote, the club confirmed initiating a scholarship granting relationship with the Collin County College Foundation. The scholarship granting will be a partnership relationship whereby the Rotary Club of McKinney Sunrise will provide the initial funding of one scholarship Endowment by seeding the endowment with $5000.

The Grand Prairie Metro Rotary Club of Texas shopped until they dropped for families in need. In support of the Grand Prairie Police Department's Santa Cop Foundation, Rotarians masked up and headed to "Santa's Workshop".

A group comprised equally of members of White Rock Rotary and Lake Highlands High School Interact picked up trash during a shoreline spruce up at White Rock Lake.
Rotary Club of Wylie East Fork looks forward to this project every year. Members of the club bring items that might interest teen boys and pack 20 boxes for Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan’s Purse.
On Nov. 8, several members (their children & grandchildren) from the Rotary Club of Allen Sunrise (and proposed members-to-be) turned out to help package food for Honduran families under the Kids Against Hunger program.
On October 14, members of the Rotary Club of Addison gathered at the Metrocrest Food Pantry in Farmers Branch to pack and distribute food 'care packages' for over 100 families.
