I'm so honored and humbled to be your new district governor, because this is my chance to give back the gift of Rotary to others.
It is not about the title, it's about an opportunity, to serve the members of our district, and to have you all be a part of the journey. You are all very special people. Your clubs are doing very amazing things thru the work that Rotary has become known for, and as your District Governor I pledge that I will give you the gift of my service and support, to assure this District does everything it can to support your clubs, the lifeblood of Rotary here and around the world.

Make plans to join the Rotary Clubs of Plano on Monday, July 4TH for the Plano's ALL AMERICAN 4TH OF JULY FESTIVAL & FIREWORKS! This is a FREE EVENT! Festivities include food vendors, market vendors a kid's zone and a static parade. Start at 6PM at 2800 E. Spring Creek Pkwy., Plano TX 75074. Free parking at Collin College, Plano Event Center and First United Methodist Church Plano. Fireworks at 9:30.
Grand Prairie Metro Rotarians were up early to beat the heat for their most recent Adopt-a-Street project. Club members were joined by Interact students and other volunteers in their commitment to "Keep Grand Prairie Beautiful!"
Members of White Rock Rotary, aided by members of Lake Highlands Interact Club, braved triple digit temps to clean up at White Rock Lake. These Rotarians have adopted a section of the shoreline and pick up trash every month, usually on the second Saturday. A small group of determined people can pick up a lot of trash!
Metrocrest Services Sack Summer Hunger program and Food Pantry ensures no child in the Metrocrest Services area goes hungry during the summer. Children love cereal and boxes of cereal are always in demand. To minimize this problem, the Addison Midday Rotary Club held a Cereal Drive.
On June 11 Plano West Rotary Club (PWRC) volunteers arrived bright and early at the Bed Start parking lot across from Plano’s Custer Road United Methodist Church to deliver furniture to local families in need.
Only Rotarians work in 100 degree weather on a Saturday to repair, dismantle and reconstruct over 200 flags in preparation of July 4! While some would say choose a cooler time, we started at 8 and finished at 10:30 am. Our goal? To make sure those that support our flag program fundraiser receive their flag and having it wave proudly!
On July 7th,, the Rotary Club of Dallas will join with Honor Our Heroes & Safer Dallas to light up the Dallas skyline in a massive and spectacular display of stunning blue lighting to remember and honor our fallen Dallas Police Officers on the anniversary of the slaying of 5 Dallas officers on 7-7-16. Please join us in prayer and gratitude for our dedicated police who are protecting us 24/7.
On May 23 Plano West Rotary Club concluded a year of assisting Plano ISD with drive-through meal distributions to Plano families experiencing food insecurities.
Taking a cue from the North Texas Food Bank’s Million Meal Challenge, Sarah Oliai, RCPC’s Fourth of July Parade Chair, created her own Million Meal Challenge.
It was a very hot day! But that didn’t deter Plano West Rotary Club (PWRC) from supporting the Collin County Juneteenth Celebration in Plano’s Haggard Park on Saturday, June 18. Juneteenth is a federal U.S. holiday commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans.
