81 of us are back on land after our amazing Annual Conference International Service Cruise to Roatan, Honduras and Cozumel, Mexico on the Regal Princess. We had so much fun together while enjoying presentations and 2 days of service projects and deliveries, including 272 pounds/5 suitcases in Roatan and 25 filled backpacks and 37 wheelchairs in Cozumel.
It is with great pleasure that we declare Dawn Gulley the District Governor Nominee Designate for the 2027-28 Rotary year! Dawn’s commitment to Rotary’s mission and her remarkable leadership within our District have inspired countless Rotarians. Her vision and dedication will undoubtedly bring fresh energy and innovation as she leads us in advancing Service Above Self.

As part of the DeSoto Random Acts of Kindness Campaign, the DeSoto Rotary Club teamed up with Starbucks (Beltline store) to deliver a heartfelt message of gratitude to the city’s dedicated police officers. On December 20th, members of the DeSoto Texas Rotary served steaming cups of Starbucks coffee and delectable donuts to the hardworking officers of the DeSoto Police Department.
During the holidays, Coppell Rotarians take a break from wrapping presents to have some fun. We all met for our Annual Holiday Bash and "Barbie Like Me" Doll Drive. A great time was had by all as we toasted the holiday and posed with our dolls that will go to underprivileged hospitalized children.
McKinney Mayor George Fuller, his wife Maylee and assistant AJ. came to ZinZen to accept the Collin County Rotary check for $1,000 to the Love Life Angel Tree Project. Our contributions helped 20 kids receive Christmas gifts in MISD. Great job Collin County Rotary Club!
In December, Plano Metro Rotary Club members donated 40 Christmas stockings stuffed with joy to Hope Restored Missions, which serves people in our community who are homeless. Stockings were filled with healthy food, snacks, hygiene items and wrapped gifts donated by our members and friends of the club.
On Saturday, December 14, members of the Rotary Club of Park Cities assembled at the Salvation Army Warehouse where all of the Angel Tree gifts purchased in our community are received. They were there to help sort the gifts and prepare them for distribution to the homes of the children who will receive them for Christmas. Angel work, indeed!
White Rock Rotary together with friends from Chile carried out their monthly shoreline trash pickup at their adopted section of the shoreline at White Rock Lake. We do this the second Sat each month. Come join us!
The Melissa Rotary Club worked with the City Church Students who collected over 8,000 hygiene items; soap, shampoo, toothpaste and the like. The Rotary Club gathered at the Melissa Community Outreach to sort and categorize the items so that family hygiene kits could be made up for the MCO clients. Many hands make light work.
The Rotary Club of Duncanville held their annual Christmas Party on December 17 and it was a time of celebration, fellowship, and giving. As a service project, Rotarians donated toys and apparel to Amazing Grace Child and Family Services, a local non-profit agency dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health and child placing services to children and youth displaced from their families.
Before Christmas, Farmers Branch Rotary will impact the lives of 20 to 30 families with the wish of Christmas. This year, we were able to provide gifts for 60 kids.
Each year Coppell Rotary Santa's get together and pack goodies for Metrocrest Seniors. Many Seniors are often forgotten during this jubilant time of the year. Coppell Rotarians are always ready to give.
DeSoto Texas Rotary continues its Random Act of Kindness service project under the direction of our President Velma Davison and Special Events Coordinator Rosa E. Hernandez. As part of the DeSoto Texas Rotary's Random Acts of Kindness campaign, the DeSoto Rotary Club partnered with Stephanie Amaya (President) and Lisa Vega (Secretary) of the Association of Hispanic School Administrators (AHSA) and Crossroads Community to bring the spirit of giving to life through the Cena en el Barrio event. This initiative aimed to provide essential food supplies to families in need across the Dallas community during the holiday season.
On January 30, Pioneer Technology and Arts Academy Interact Club presented a program for the young students at Vogel. Interact students read a story, created a butterfly craft & provided a snack with about 30 students. The club also donated books to both students & teachers as well as 42 Bye-Bye bags.
Plano Rotary Club wraps up 2024 by implementing the Samaritan Inn Angel Tree event. Special thanks to all the donors who donated time and energy towards this project. John Ratley, Rooster Construction, donated $1000 and a truck to help transport this years goodies.
Coppell held their 1st 4 Way Test Speech Contest in 2024 since the early 2000's. We sent the very impressive Sandhya Karthick, a Sophomore at Coppell High School to represent our club. She SLAYED and scored as a finalist. She was finally presented her plaque at our last club meeting.
The Rotary Club of Allen and the Sunrise Rotary Club of Allen have planned and coordinated the annual Allen Rotary Christmas Parade for the past 20 years. The event gives visibility to both clubs and brings sponsorship money in for club projects and scholarships.
The Mesquite Rotary Club presented a donation of $2,000 to the Mesquite Association of Retired School Employees book project at their meeting on January 14th. In accepting the check from Rotary past president Jones Doughton, MARSE president Elaine Hornsby expressed her thanks for Rotary’s financial support and volunteer assistance.
Members of White Rock Rotary played 'Santa's Helpers' as they prepared and delivered packages to needy families during the holiday season in conjunction with St. Patrick's church.
On December 16, 2024, the Richardson Rotary Club participated in a holiday service project partnered with The Network of Community Ministries. Our members packed 500 food bags and wrapped over 50 presents to give to children in our community that need a little extra love during the holiday season.
Collin County Rotary invited Regina Edwards to attend our Christmas Party, and her presentation was very insightful! She offered wonderful stories of her personal life, travels, family and service projects.
