November is Rotary International Foundation month, and it is a great time for you to check in to your Rotary donations account to see where you stand in contributions to the Foundation. It is also a good time for you to do your tax planning for charitable gifts for the end of the year.

Visit the PLANO FLAGS OF HONOR at Red Tail Pavilion (formerly Oak Point Park) for a week-long, full of events on Nov. 5- 12 honoring our Veterans and First Responders. Each flag on display has a dedication card that tells the story of a hero whose life is or was devoted in service to their fellow man.
Don't miss this year's Men* Who Cook event on November 5. We will have bigger and better auction items that include unique experiences and merchandise. In addition to the delicious food we also will have a live band, live auction, wine pull, and a new gift card pull.
Rotary Club of Plano East is holding their Annual Rotary Veterans Luncheon Event on Friday, November 11th, Veteran's Day at the Plano Flags of Honor at noon at the Oak Point Park. The Rotary Club of Dallas responded to a request from the Dallas Police Department to participate in the DPD National Night Out block party, October 4, with the objective of minimizing conflict, and building trust and rapport between citizenry and the police department.
Collin County Rotary Club partnered with the LoveLife Foundation, Maylee Thomas-Fuller and McKinney Mayor George Fuller, for the second year in a row to give donations to six not-for-profit organizations on North Texas Giving Day. The donations were made strategically in order to receive matching donations for each of the six not-for-profit organizations.
Our local service leaders – Rotary Club of Wylie East Fork, Wylie Evening Lions Club, and Nu Gamma chapter of The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International - joined efforts to restock Little Free Libraries around town. Little Free Library is an international initiative to make books freely accessible in each community.
The Rockwall Rotary Club has collected loads of peanut butter – to the tune of 276 pounds! That translates into 222 meals served to those who need them.
Rotarians and Friends gathered in October for the fight against Polio at "Pinot for Polio" at Landon Winery at The Sound in Cypress Waters. Everyone enjoyed sips of wine and delicious nibbles, with 10% of proceeds going to Rotary International Polio Plus.

On Sept. 21-25, Plano West Rotary Club (PWRC) was able to hold its first funnel-cake fundraiser at the Plano Balloon Festival in several years, and it was a sweet success!
Save the Date for the Holiday Parade “March of the Toys” – December 10, 2022. The Parade will begin at 9:30 a.m. from a brand-new downtown location. A festival in Toyland will be held in the North parking lot of the Plano Municipal Building immediately following the parade. Stop by to see the winning floats, Santa and Ms. Claus, enjoy Holiday music, crafts, food trucks, vendors and a winter kid zone! Toyland will be open until 1:30 p.m.
Rockwall Rotary joined the districtwide competition to raise funds to combat polio this year. Their new event, Pints and Pies for Polio was a huge success.
Rotarians supported the City of Coppell's Kaleidoscope, a festival of culture, color and music in early October. Raffles tickets were sold for a 2023 Flag Subscription with proceeds going to Rotary International Polio Plus. It was a fun afternoon supporting our community!
