Hi all - Happy New Year! I hope that you enjoyed a wonderful holiday season with friends and family! I took Christmas dinner over to my mom's apartment and we had a great meal! I attended over a dozen Holiday Parties in addition to the great District "Jingle & Mingle" we had on December 12. The picture attached is of the 50 toys we donated to Network of Community Ministries in Richardson. Thanks to your generosity, we also donated a scooter and a bicycle!

Rotary Clubs across the District have been shining bright this year through the Rotary Rockstar Challenge, showcasing creativity, community connection, and powerful storytelling through public image efforts. With six levels of challenges, the program was designed to help Clubs elevate visibility, celebrate impact, and inspire engagement — and so far, it’s working! The majority of Clubs have already completed two or more levels, and we couldn’t be more proud of the enthusiasm and effort.
McKinney Sunrise Rotary has proudly committed $100,000 to an endowment with the Collin College Foundation. In recognition of this commitment the Student Center at the Collin College McKinney Campus will be named the Rotary Club of McKinney Sunrise Student Center.

Our officers were installed: Walt McCool (secretary), Ed Schaefer (Sergeant-at-Arms), Helen Stettler (President) and Win Evans (Treasurer).
The Melissa Rotary Club invited the community to unite in support of Wreaths Across America, an organization whose mission is to remember the fallen, honor those who serve, and teach the next generation the value of freedom. In preparation for the event, Rotary and Interact members visited the Melissa Cemetery to carefully mark the graves of veterans, ensuring that every hero resting there would be recognized and honored.
Plano Rotary Club brought squeals and smiles to 69 children at the Samaritan Inn (homeless shelter of Collin County) on December 24, 2005. Each year, members using the wish lists of these children, shop for toys and gifts. We have to do it by committee because some of us don't have a clue what these new toys do. This year, we delivered approximately 300 gifts, some more neatly wrapped than others to the children.
The Addison Rotary Club has donated $11,000 to the Guerrero Surgery Center to support the purchase of a state-of-the-art keratometer, significantly expanding the center’s ability to diagnose and treat vision conditions for thousands of patients.
Grand Prairie Metro Rotary recently collaborated on an international project aimed at benefiting the community in Puruándiro, Michoacan.
The goal was to aid the non-profit organization "Emergencia Radio Auxilio Voluntario Puruándiro AC," which currently operates with a single ambulance constantly in need of repair. That lone ambulance handles around 60 cases per month, but the demand exceeds its capability, leaving approximately 90 cases per month unresolved due to the lack of vehicles.
Saturday morning, Oct. 25, thirty members from RCPC volunteered at the North Texas Food Bank, one of RCPC’s collaborative partners. Along with some other volunteers, they packed 39,622 pounds of food.
Rockwall Noon Rotary made Christmas a little more joyful, helping Toys for Tots and Rockwall Helping Hands with this year's toy drive. Rotarians shopped for all ages to make Christmas morning wishes come true!
On Dec 14th nine Dallas Uptown club members and friends prepared a hot lunch at the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas. We broke into teams to prepare a meal of Asian pork with rice, broccoli, and triple chocolate brownies.
’Tis the season of giving! Coppell Rotary had a joyful time celebrating the holidays through fellowship and service. Together, we donated dolls to the Barbie Like Me Doll Drive and contributed over $2,000 in toys and gifts to the Coppell Make a Child Smile program.

Plano Metro Rotary Club joined the project the provide free corneal transplants for free with a Rotary Club in India. Two Global Grants with support of our respective districts and other sources like Tony Robbins Foundation. The project has changed the lives of 1,000+ corneal blinds. Delivering Christmas presents to refugee families through the St. Patrick Catholic Church, Lake Highlands. Members of White Rock Rotary work consistently with this church in different areas of volunteerism to serve the community. Christmas presents wrapping and delivery is constant for us. This service gives as much joy to us as it does to the families receiving the gifts.
Twenty eight Rotary Club of Park Cities volunteers and friends gathered at Scottish Rite Hospital on Saturday morning, Nov. 22, and packed 150 tins of popcorn.
For over 25 years, Rockwall Noon Rotary has recognized area students who model positive characteristics across their campuses and student body. What began in 1998 with just nine campuses in Rockwall ISD, continues weekly recognizing students across more than 100 campuses and all ages!
North Texas Pioneers Club was a big supporter of the Holiday “Yee Haw Parade”. The parade is sponsored by the Plano Rotary Clubs! It’s a joint service project that all Plano clubs work together to support. Not only is it a fantastic time for the citizens of Plano it’s a great pleasure for the volunteers to see the pleasure it brings for the holidays!
