Our club traditionally uses the 5th Monday of the month to host an evening social for members and spouses rather than our normal meeting. We continued this tradition August 29th with an ice cream social.
This year our president asked the club to also use our regular Noon meeting time to volunteer an hour for service to our community! Our first volunteering hour was spent at the Network of Community Ministries in Richardson, Texas.
We were there to do anything that needed to be done. They assigned us to gather, sort, and hang donated clothing to be available to their clients. Our Rotary club members managed to go through hundreds of donated clothing in the hour. It was very rewarding, and we felt like we contributed to support the mission of the Network
