On Nov. 8, several members (their children & grandchildren) from the Rotary Club of Allen Sunrise (and proposed members-to-be) turned out to help package food for Honduran families under the Kids Against Hunger program.
Held at the First United Methodist Church of Allen, 321 boxes were packed, each with 36 bags of protein enriched grains, rice, and a mix of vitamins, a total of 11,556 bags. With each packaged meal measured to feed a family of six, the event produced 69,336 meals.

The two hour-shift worked by Club Allen Sunrise-volunteers contributed over 2,800 meals, with fellowship being a main ingredient to a most fulfilling opportunity to serve.

Club Allen Sunrise received a grant to repeat this same event in Spring 2021 and is hopeful for enhanced participation.
