Zoom Rotary meetings have become the new norm for many clubs during this world crises. While clubs would rather meet in person, one of the huge benefits is the opportunity for those members and clubs that have a connection to a club, can join in from around the world.
On April 30th, during the weekly zoom meeting, The Rotary Club of Carrollton-Farmers Branch  invited their current global grant student along with The Rotary Club of Montego Bay  to join in.  District 5810 Governor, Beverly Grogan, also joined in.

Juan Sebastian who is attending Oxford University is now quarantined in Germany where he was doing some research when all travel was shut down.  Several members of The Rotary Club of Montego Bay joined as well. Our club has had a long relationship with this rotary club, providing school supplies, medical equipment, water well funding, as well as funding many other needs of an orphan home in Jamaica.

Our International Director, Regina Edwards, established our connection to this club many  years ago. Those attending the meeting were
Bhagwan Chuganey, Past President and Past International Service Director Michelle Daswani ,Past Assistant Governor and Past President
Yemima Garcia, President and Kay Llewellyn, Past President.

This meeting will go down as a meeting we will remember for a very long time. Even when we are able to resume our lunch meetings, we will embrace this technology and find new ways to have our international partners join in.
