Since 2017, students who attend Riverchase Elementary School, a Spark STEM Academy CFB ISD school, located in Coppell (serving Coppell & Carrollton families), have the opportunity to participate in a Coding Camp sponsored by Coppell Rotary & UTD Computer Science Outreach.

The 2018-19 camps, which takes place once a week in the fall & spring semesters, will focus on devices called BBC micro:bit, which teaches students multiple code editors. Day 1 of the Fall camp, students worked with Little Bits, which are electronic building blocks that empowers students to invent anything from a remote controlled car to a smart home device.
