The Coppell Rotary Club began partnering with a local Coppell non-profit, Train and Help Babies trainandhelpbabies.com, three years ago and the collaboration continues to grow. Recently, the Coppell Rotary Club, along with Train and Help Babies, partnered with the Dallas Rotary Club to bring water, sanitation and hygiene skills to, Ghana.
Dr Prakash, our Coppell Rotarian, met with Dr. Leticia Appiah, head of the Departments of Obstetrics , Pediatrics and Neonatology  at the medical school in Accra  and Dr. Emmanuel Odame, from the Ministry of Health of Ghana in October. Through Train and Help Babies , we will sent a training team to Ghana to tackle infections in newborns , reducing infant and maternal mortality in Ghana.

The first object of all Rotarians is the development of an acquaintance as an opportunity for service and with a focus on sustainable projects with both local and global impacts, Coppell Rotary has participated in several neo-natal projects in India and has active projects in Africa, South America and soon in the Philippines. With the opportunity to write grants to the Rotary Foundation we participate in the $86 million awarded by the Foundation in 2018 alone and match dollars donated up to $3-to $1.
