Holiday Season!  We all have so much to be thankful for, and a season of love and giving.  Since Service (Giving) is essential to Rotary, I would like to encourage everyone to remember that any funds contributed to the Rotary Foundation help those in need.  There are so many in need, and our Foundation helps people locally, nationally and internationally.  So, if your circumstances allow, remember the Rotary Foundation in your gifting plans.
Just a reminder to all of the clubs that December is the time for several critical actions, including advising RI of your 2021-2022 Club officers, purging your club roles of anyone who has left your club, and preparing to pay your Rotary International semi-annual dues.  Please take the time to ensure your club has its records up to date.

With November in our rearview mirror, I would like to complement Owen Devlin, DGND John Curtis, Jan Sullivan, B.K. Turner and Paul Gorman for conducting a very informative Foundation Seminar.  The seminar provided great information about many aspects of the Rotary Foundation plus it qualified those clubs which were represented for District and/or Global Grants.  There are still opportunities to have a club qualified for grants, just contact Foundation Chair Owen Devlin.

There are still a lot of District events coming up, including the International Assembly (okay, that’s not a District event), Lone Star PETS, District Strategic Planning, the District Assembly and the District Conference.  AND, don’t forget that in June we’ll break out of our isolation and fly off to exotic Taiwan to join the world at the International Convention.

In closing, allow Trudy and I to wish each and every one of you a safe and happy holiday season.
