Hi all - WOW - only three months to go as your DG - and so much more to do!! This month, I continued my Interact Club visits with a combined meeting of the McKinney Boyd HS and McKinney North HS Interact clubs on March 26. It was a great meeting with us discussing their future with Rotary (the rest of their lives!) and the projects that they are doing. I will be visiting the Garland ILT HS Interact Club and the Rowlett HS Interact clubs in April.

ALSO - We had a GREAT Challenge Air volunteer event on Saturday, March 21. We had over 30 District Rotarians there to volunteer as well as several other organizations helping. We helped over 60 special needs kids experience flight as the co-pilots and watched their excitement as they exited the plane! It was announced that our District has raised over $20,000 this year for Challenge Air!! Thank you all for supporting such a great cause. Mom would be so proud of us! If you missed this event, there will be another one in October in McKinney. I know that many of the Rotarians who volunteered for this event got "hooked" and will be there in October too!
AND - April is Environmental Month. Like the past few years, EarthX will be taking place on April 20-22 at the Anatole Hotel in Dallas. We are in the process of putting together our plan for our District's involvement in this event. Please watch your email for more details coming soon.

BUT THERE'S MORE! Some really good news! Ross Rolirad, our District Polio Chair, has made 29 club visits to share the news about Rotary's progress in Polio Eradication and has helped us raise over $102,000 for this effort! Thanks to all clubs who have made a donation. This is a big deal!!!! More club visits are planned in April. Thank you Ross!
See you at the Club Leadership Training Assembly or at the 4-Way Test Speech Contest on April 11. OR - at "Games & Giving" presented by Richardson East Rotary that evening! It's a busy day for Rotary!!
Follow the Yellow Brick Road this month! Emerald City Awards Gala is coming on August 21st! There's no place like Rotary!

Mary
