April was another great month! We participated in EarthX at the Anatole in Dallas - many thanks to those who volunteered to work at the membership booth and especially to Allen McReynolds and PDG Regina Edwards for their "above and beyond" efforts. They both helped to host Barry Rassin, past RI President, who was a keynote speaker. Allen was the chair for our District and Regina served as a speaker as well as an aide for Barry. We also partnered with District 5790 (FW area) for this event.
Congratulations to the Rockwall Club for their sponsorship of a Peace Pole at San Jacinto Square. Many dignitaries from the City and school district were there as well as Rotarians! PDG John Curtis and others in the club spearheaded the project. Thanks to the club for installing our second Rotary Peace Pole in District 5810! I bet there are more to come!

April was also a great month for DG visits to Interact Clubs! I visited the Garland International Leadership of Texas Interact Club, the Rowlett HS Interact Club, the Pioneer Tech & Arts Academy Interact Club and attended the Rockwall Interact Banquet. My focus with all of them was on their continued service AFTER high school and their future in Rotaract as well as Rotary.
Also - congratulations to the Frisco Club on their 40th Anniversary! I attended the Frisco City Council Meeting where the Club was presented with a Proclamation! Best wishes to the Frisco Club on another great 40 years of making impact!!!

May is Youth Service Month. I challenge you to make a contact with your club's Interact or Rotaract Club this month! Also - many of you will be delivering kids to RYLA later this month. Make sure you have them back to the club to hear the impact that RYLA had on them - that is always a great meeting.
Have an excellent May uniting for GOOD. See you at Club Leadership Exchange on May 9 - it will be the BEST meeting of the year. Our speaker will give you new insight on how to better communicate with your club members by understanding their personality type! Don't miss this!
See you on the yellow brick road - There's no place like Rotary!

Mary
