District Conference and Business Meeting
Mark your calendars, our District Conference has been scheduled for April 22 and 23.
On the evening of April 22, we will have a friendly competition amongst teams at Pinstack on 635 in Irving.  Your ticket will include dinner, bowling lanes and shoes, and an additional hour of time to use the other attractions including Ropes course, Laser tag, Laser maze, Rock climbing wall, bumper cars and over 100 video games.  Consider putting a team together from you club to win the District Bowling title!

On April 23, we will gather at Brookhaven Country Club midmorning and share the accomplishments of our clubs and the district for the year.  We will also hear from our Rotary International Representative and conduct our annual Business meeting.
That evening at dinner,  we will celebrate both our new Foundation level givers as well as recognize all those responsible for the many accomplishments of the year.

Because we will be conducting our annual meeting, any proposed amendments to the District Manual of Procedure must be submitted to our Parliamentarian, George Tarpley by February 22 (60 days prior to the Business meeting). George's contact is George.Tarpley@americo.com.

President Elect Training (PETS)
PETS will be held February 24-27.  Each club should have already sent in the registration for their President Elect.  If that has not been done, it is important to send in the registration this week.  There will be a separate track for President Nominees so they are also highly encouraged to register and attend.

Rotary International Convention in Houston
This week it was decided that the RI convention in Houston June 4-8 is a GO and will be in person!  As with many large gatherings these days, All Rotary International convention and preconvention participants must either be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 OR provide a negative result from a COVID-19 test taken no more than 72 hours before arrival at the convention.  A special registration rate of US$495 is being offered through 28 February at convention.rotary.org/houston/register

District Dues are now due
District dues were billed to the clubs in December and should now be paid.  Approximately half the clubs have done so.  If for some reason, neither the club president or Treasurer has received the bill, please contact me so that we can make sure it is sent to the proper person.

February Roundtable
Because this is World Peace month, our February Roundtable will concentrate on worldwide projects that are being conducted by clubs in our District.  Come out or tune in to hear these stories and maybe get some ideas on projects your club may want to do.

Looking forward to seeing each of you-

Max
