The McKinney Rotary Club collected items in November 2018 to send to U.S. Troops that are overseas. We joined a group collecting for 33 soldiers and collected 11 donation boxes of goodies. The boxes were shipped this week in order to reach the troops before Christmas, and also included 33 Holiday Cards signed club members. We not only wanted the soldiers to have something for Christmas but we wanted to express our appreciation for all they do for us. We were told many do not receive anything from family members or home so we wanted to ensure everyone received something. This was our first time on this project and feel it was a great success.
