The McKinney Rotary Club Foundation started the new year making a difference by financially supporting three (3) local nonprofit organizations. Members of the Rotary Foundation Board presented to The McKinney Education Foundation, Hope Clinic and the Community Health Clinic funds raised through the McKinney Rotary Club Flag Program.
Funds given to the McKinney Education Foundation (MEF) are in support of three MEF scholarships: The John Gay Scholarship, George Webb Scholarship and Carey Cox Scholarship. These scholarships were set up in their memory and are McKinney Rotary Past Presidents who upheld the Four Way Test. The McKinney Education Foundation Executive Director, Ashley Sine, received the $3,500 donation on behalf of MEF. McKinney Education Foundation's mission is to inspire and assist McKinney ISD students and staff toward excellence and make a difference in a child's life through education.

The Community Health Clinic of Collin County provides high-quality and compassionate healthcare to underserved individuals and families, empowering people to realize their highest potential in work, life, and community. The $2,500 donation, presented to Steve Wurm, Executive Director, was given in support of medical diagnostic equipment. The Hope Clinic received a $2,500 donation in support of medical equipment. Vicki Northcutt, the clinic's Executive Director-Development, received the donation on behalf of the Hope Clinic. Hope Clinic of McKinney is a free medical, vision, and behavioral health clinic serving low-income, uninsured Collin County, Texas families.
