The Rotary Club of McKinney Sunrise has awarded $66,000 in scholarships to twenty-one high school seniors from McKinney! The recipients are members of McKinney Sunrise-sponsored Interact Clubs at McKinney North High School and McKinney Boyd High School, or they are family members of McKinney Sunrise Rotarians.
Funding for the scholarship program comes from the club's highly successful flag program, which distributed 3,340 flags for the Memorial Day holiday. This program is expected to gross over $189,000 in 2024. After covering expenses, a portion of the proceeds is shared with flag partners who help deliver and collect the flags, with the remaining funds supporting additional service projects.
