Members of the Melissa Rotary club recently teamed up with the Samaritan Inn in McKinney to help a homeless family move into an apartment.
On Saturday seven Rotary members and their families, along with six Melissa High School Interact students, began climbing 19 stairs with furniture to fully furnish a second story apartment. The new resident moved into a fully stocked refrigerator and pantry, as well as decorations on the wall.

The Rotary Club solicited donations from the community to obtain, store and move the apartment furnishings. Melissa Community outreach helped to provide the non-perishable food and Rotary members purchased the perishable items. The Client was overwhelmed by the effort and very grateful to begin a new chapter in her life.
