A team of Mesquite Rotary members, member friends, and Mesquite ISD volunteers under the leadership of Community Service Director Evelyn Williams and committee chair Leslie Feinglas assisted an elderly Mesquite resident for Addressing Mesquite Day. Since the original day of October 2nd was rained out, the group met and worked on October 5th.  The group was successful in completing an extensive yard cleanup.
The purpose of Addressing Mesquite Day is to rally community volunteer groups on a special day each autumn to give their time and labor to improve properties around the city that are owned by elderly or disabled citizens who need the help to improve their living conditions, and their neighborhoods.  The club also donates funds to support the city in organizing and holding this event each year.
