The Mesquite Rotary Club sponsored a food drive to benefit Sharing Life Community Outreach of Mesquite on December 9th and 10th.
With Christmas approaching in this year of the Covid-19 crisis, the need is greater than ever before, so the club invited the participation of the public. Four convenient drop off points for donations of nonperishable food items were established at businesses owned by or managed by Mesquite Rotarians around the community.
Those locations included ASI Gymnastics Mesquite, Mid-Continent Printing, First Presbyterian Church of Mesquite, and LPL Financial. Donations on behalf of the drive were also accepted directly at Sharing Life’s location, or online at their website, www.sharinglifeoutreach.org. The successful effort was led by the club’s past president John Taylor.
