After requesting nominations from the membership for the 2019 Fourth of July Parade Grand Marshal, the decision has been made!  Qualifications for nominees are that they are individuals who have made a meaningful contribution to the Park Cities, who demonstrate the Rotary ideals of the 4 Way Test and Service above Self, and who is well-known and respected in the community.  The announcement is made at the Annual Announcement Luncheon honoring the current Grand Marshal and all past Grand Marshals.  This year Park Cities Rotary is pleased to recognize Francie Moody-Dahlberg as the 2019 Grand Marshal.
Ms. Moody-Dahlberg is a businesswoman and philanthropist, as well as a resident of the Park Cities.  She is a Trustee of Southern Methodist University, serves on the board of the AT&T Performing Arts Center and is on the advisory board of the Crystal Charity Ball.  As the Grand Marshal of the Parade, Ms. Moody-Dahlberg was also named a Paul Harris Fellow.

Previous Grand Marshals have included Karl Kuby of Kuby’s in Snider Plaza (2018), photographer Brad Bradley (2017), the Superintendent of the Park Cities ISD (2014), historian and writer Kirk Dooley (2013), President of SMU Dr. Gerald Turner (2011), former state representative Dan Branch (2006), former U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison (2005), and many other community leaders.

Come join the Park Cities in celebrating the Fourth of July!  The parade is followed by old-fashioned speeches and games for the kids in Goar Park.  It is fun for the family and for patriots of all ages!
