Last week, the Rotary Club of Allen Sunrise decided that their community’s spirits might welcome a boost.This week, volunteer-teams began a special deployment of 600+ flags to their flag customers’ neighborhoods, without financial impact to their current dues and in addition to the year’s seven flag holidays.
Throughout history, when our country faced challenges, there is nothing more reassuring than to see Old Glory waving in the wind. As we face down this pandemic as a community, as a state and as a country, WE are all in this together, and together we will make it through this challenge and come out stronger and better than we were before.
Their teams will exercise social distancing and will not interact with others they may see along their routes. Allen Sunrise will leave flags in place until the end of April, when hopefully we can begin steps to return to the old normal lifestyle.
