As part of District 5810 Governor Mike Callahan’s year of service, the Governor’s Spousal Project is supporting The Senior Source and its work with older adults throughout the Dallas area. From that broader effort, a special Prestonwood Rotary initiative emerged: 75 Clocks for 75 Seniors. The idea was simple but meaningful: provide 75 easy-to-read day, date, and time clocks to seniors who could benefit from a little extra help staying oriented throughout the day.
Thanks to the generosity of Rotarians, friends, families, and community supporters, we reached the goal. All 75 clocks have been collected!
For older adults experiencing memory challenges, these clocks offer a clear, easy-to-read reminder of the day, date, and time. That simple support can build confidence, comfort, and peace of mind in everyday life.
Now the project moves from collecting to giving. District 5810 and Prestonwood Rotary volunteers will prepare each clock, add an encouraging handwritten card, and work with The Senior Source to coordinate delivery to seniors in the community.
