The Rotary Club of Prestonwood and Rotary Club of Roatan have partnered to improve lives at Dionisio de Herrera Public School in Oak Ridge. This initiative includes a storage facility, a water pump, and a rain collection system. These components will ensure consistent access to clean water year-round for 850 students and approximately 1,500 community members.
Importantly, this project will benefit families who rely on weekend access and will significantly impact girls by providing them with uninterrupted access to clean water throughout the school year.
The significance of this endeavor cannot be overstated. Access to clean water is not merely a convenience but a fundamental human right that underpins health, education, and community development. This collaborative effort exemplifies the power of community partnerships in creating sustainable change. Together, they are fostering resilience and empowering communities to thrive.
